Multiple Counties under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch

(WOWO): Thunderstorms are moving their way into the WOWO listening area.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 p.m. for Allen County, Adams County, Wells County, Huntington County, part of Whitley County and multiple other counties in Indiana. Ohio counties in the WOWO listening area are also under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

A Thunderstorm Warning was in effect for Kosciusko, Noble and Whitley counties until 4:30 p.m. That has been allowed to expire, but strong storms remain.

At about 4 p.m., more than 23,900 I&M costumers were without power in near Michiana. Most of the costumers without power are in St. Joseph County. Outages can be reported online at Indiana Michigan Power’s website or by calling 1-800-311-4634
