INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): September is National Preparedness Month, and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security wants to make sure Hoosiers are prepared in the case of an emergency. Any number of disasters can leave a house without power. The Department recommends having a disaster kit that would allow you to be self-reliant for at least 3 days if an emergency situation happened.
