When you’re planning your outfit for Friday, be sure you’re wearing red.

It’s National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about heart disease.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, as it is responsible for about 1 in 3 deaths.

However, a majority of cardiac events could be prevented with healthy lifestyle choices.

Wear Red Day is always the first Friday in February, which is American Heart Month.

So, plan to wear red and share the message on social media with #WearRedDay.

You can also donate to life-saving research and education efforts here.
