IU Steps Up Fight Against Opioid Crisis

Bloomington, Ind. (WOWO) — Indiana University is stepping up its fight against the opioid crisis by expanding its naloxone training program across the state.

The Citizen Opioid Responders program offers a free online course, which is designed to help people recognize an overdose and administer naloxone.

With over 2,000 drug-related deaths in Indiana in 2023, I-U hopes to make a difference to respond to overdoses.
