NE Indiana Regional Interstate Project Assessment Released

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A prioritization of regional interstate projects has been released by the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, marking the first time a list has been created for the area.

A total of 13 projects were included on the list. Overall, 10 local economic development organizations were a part of the project.  The partnership prioritized the projects into three tiers of priority.

1. Improvements to US 30, US 33 and US 6.

2. Improvements to the areas of SR 5, US 27, SR 124 and I-69 interchange, SR 327 and the I-80/90 interchange, and SR 9/US 20/SR 3.

3. Improvements to SR 9, SR 205, US 224 and Wabash County Road 500 E.


The prioritized list credits the Vision 2020 initiative and spearheaded by the Regional Partnership to promote economic growth.
