New Haven Parks and Rec Approves Alcohol Policy for Schnelker Park

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO); The New Haven Parks and Recreation Board has approved allowing alcohol at Schnelker Park.

The board approved alcohol at the park, but only for special events. According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the city does not have an alcohol policy, and changing the rules encourages special events like fundraisers, to be held at the park.

A designated area is required for the alcoholic beverages.

Schnelker park is home to a farmers market and live music for guests throughout the summer.
