New Haven Police mourning the loss of K-9

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): The New Haven Police Department is mourning the loss of a beloved K-9.

K-9 Armor died due to a medical condition that was discovered during a surgery Wednesday afternoon, according to New Haven dispatch. 

Armor and his handler, Sgt. Brent Bolinger, were paired in 2012. During his time with the department, Armor accomplished 35 searches, 38 narcotic searches, 28 warrant arrest assists and responded to more than 200 alarms.

The New Haven Police Department is asking the public to keep Sgt. Bolinger and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
