New Haven trick-or-treat hours released

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): The City of New Haven has set its official Trick-or-Treat hours for Monday, October 31, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

“Additional police officers and other officials from the Fire Department will be on staff during this period to ensure the safety of everyone,” said Police Chief Henry McKinnon.

If you don’t want your child going door-to-door, the Halloween Carnival is scheduled from 4:00-6:00 pm at Schnelker Park. Kids can receive treats and participate in games. The event is free to the public.

New Haven Mayor Terry McDonald is also reminding parents about another local event; Downtown on Broadway is scheduled for Monday, October 31, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Parents can walk down Broadway with their kids where local business owners will participate in handing out candy.
