FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some new light is going to shine in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum this fall.

The Coliseum has chosen Ephesus Lighting to upgrade its lighting to LED lighting this summer. 

The reason for the new lighting is to provide more light in the Coliseum while also reducing wattage. The Coliseum says the new LED lights will save more than 80 percent in annual energy and maintenance costs. 

The new light system also allows for more lighting shows. 

Installation will begin in mid-June and should be complete by mid-September before the Komets and Mad Ants begin play.
