ASHLEY, Ind. (WOWO): Steuben County is getting some new jobs.

Ohio-based RES Polyflow is putting its new Midwest production hub in Ashley. That means that 136 new jobs will be created by 2019. 

The renewable energy solutions company will invest $181 million in total to construct an 80 acre production site that will be next to Interstate 69 in Ashley. 

The operation will be equipped by 2019 and will convert 100,000 tons of scrap plastic into 17 million gallons of ultra-low sulfur diesel and gasoline blendstocks on a yearly basis. They hope to double that production by 2021. 

Hiring begins next summer.
