No Charges Will be Filed in April 2014 Death

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): No charges will be filed in a case which resulted in the death of 45-year-old Darrell King. The office of the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney has completed its review of the investigation surrounding his death, which occurred on April 5th 2014. The Prosecuting Attorney's office has determined that his death was a result of self-defense and therefore no charges will be filed.


Fort Wayne Police found King on Gladstone Drive after an apparent fight. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where he later on died.

According to the Allen County Coroner, King died from Asphyxia due to neck compression.
