Noble County Officials Consider School Protection

School districts in Noble County considering placing deputies armed with concealed weapons in schools after a proposal was made by the county sheriff made at a school board meeting.  The Central Noble Community Schools board voted earlier this week to explore a proposal by the Sheriff’s Department to arm staff members with concealed weapons. Since placing an armed police officer in the schools isn’t in the budget, certain staff members could be trained to carry concealed weapons while performing their regular duties.
