FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There were no injuries reported after firefighters dealt with a fire at a Fort Wayne retirement home Sunday.

Fire Department units were called to the North Woods Village assisted living facilities on Glencarin Blvd at about 7:45am, and searched the building before finding the fire in the attic.

The 55 residents inside were evacuated to another part of the building for their safety while crews worked for several hours to remove burning insulation from the attic and get the fire under control.

The fire did moderate damage. The cause is still under investigation.
