ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A Northwest Allen County School bus caught on fire in a housing addition Thursday afternoon.

Our partners in news at ABC 21 report police were dispatched to the bus fire in the Lakes of Carroll Creek housing addition around 4 p.m., and the fire was put out fairly quickly.

All 40 students on Bus #49 were able to escape without injury. The students all attend middle and high schools.

Several students mentioned the bus driver remained on the bus until all students had evacuated.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire to happen.
