NWS Warns of Elevated Fire Risk

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): National Weather Service forecasters advise that breezy conditions will bring an elevated risk for fire. The threat will continue through the afternoon and much of the evening.

Officials say it will allow for continued drying of dead grass, brush and leaves.

That will make it unsafe for any outdoor burning. That includes burning from barrels, which could send burning embers “great distances.”
