Ohio Unemployment Up in July

Ohio's unemployment rate jumped to 5.7 percent in July, up from 5.5 percent in June. Those numbers released today from Ohio's Job and Family Services.

The number of workers unemployed in Ohio in July was 323,000, up 7,000 from 316,000 in June, that's a decrease of  110,000 in the past 12 months from 433,000. The July unemployment rate for Ohio was down from 7.5 percent in July 2013.

The U.S. unemployment rate for July was 6.2 percent, up from 6.1 percent in June, and down from 7.3 percent in July 2013.
