Greenwood Mall to Host Terrorism Training Exercise

GREENWOOD, Ind. (AP) _ A central Indiana mall will be the staging site for a weekend exercise to train emergency responders how to handle a terrorist attack.

The Daily Journal reports FBI agents, SWAT teams and fire departments will descend on the mall Sunday after it closes.

The exercise is one of several the FBI has hosted around the country in response to an attack on a mall in Nairobi, Kenya, last year that killed more than 60 people.

The FBI says those passing by the mall should expect to see numerous emergency vehicles. Eleven federal, state and local departments will participate in the exercise.

The event is closed to the public.
