Ohio Working To Abolish Property Tax

OHIO, (WOWO) — Republican lawmakers at the Ohio Statehouse are pushing a new property tax relief package, led by Rep. Gary Click of Vickery.

The three-bill package includes: House Bill 420, which would ban open-ended levies; House Bill 421, letting voters reduce certain unvoted property taxes;

And House Bill 422, which would raise the vote threshold for passing larger levies-up to 66% for those over 2 mills.

All three bills are still waiting for committee assignments.
