INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Reports say a small plane that crashed off the Bahamas' northernmost island was registered to a central Indiana company and that one of the victims was a northwest Indiana woman.
 
Indianapolis TV stations WTHR-TV and WRTV-TV report the Cirrus 22 was registered to First Class Flyers LLC, based in Cicero, 25 miles north of Indiana.
 
The Munster Times identifies one of the victims as Cynthia Mierzwa of Union Township on Porter County, about 10 miles southeast of Gary. The newspaper attributed the information to the woman's ex-husband, Fred Mierzwa of Crete, Ill.

Bahamas Police Superintendent Stephen Dean said the plane crashed Sunday in waters a few miles off Grand Bahama island and all four people aboard were killed. He says all four are believed to be from the United States.
