Police evacuate area of Huntington after gas main break

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WPTA) – Huntington Police evacuated a small area on the city’s west side after a gas main broke Thursday morning.

A Facebook post by the department says the large gas main was struck near the intersection of Park Drive and Lafontaine Street, close to Gary’s Auto Sales.

A one-block area of the city, west of downtown, was evacuated.
