Police: Infant Killed in Crash in Southwestern Michigan

NILES, Mich. (AP) _ Police say a 10-month-old boy has died in a two-vehicle crash in southwestern Michigan that also injured five others.
 
Michigan State Police say the crash happened on U.S. 31 in Berrien County near Niles around 4 p.m. Wednesday. A vehicle driven by a Benton Harbor woman stopped in the left lane of the highway after it ran over a plastic bucket, and it was rear-ended by another vehicle driven by a woman from New Carlisle, Indiana.

According to police, 10-month-old Jamando Guidry was in the first vehicle and was airlifted to a Kalamazoo hospital, where he died. The driver and three other children in the first vehicle were taken to a South Bend hospital for treatment of their injuries.
 
Police say the driver of the second vehicle wore a seatbelt and had minor injuries.
