INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO) — Police are investigating after officers found a man dead and a woman injured inside an east side home Thursday afternoon.

IMPD officers responded around 3:30 p.m. to the 2100 block of South Catherwood Avenue.

Inside the home, officers found a man with traumatic injuries and a woman with multiple injuries.

Medics took the woman to a hospital, and her condition is still unknown.

A neighbor called police after worrying that two people inside the home might be dead.

Officer Drew Brown says investigators do not believe the public is in danger.

Detectives collected evidence, checked doorbell cameras, and spoke with neighbors.
