FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating reports of shots fired on Drexel Avenue near Fruehauf Drive, Monday night.

Chris Felton, spokesperson for the Fort Wayne Police Department, tells WOWO News that calls came in from numerous callers just before 10:30 p.m., regarding gunshots being heard. Once officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, where he currently remains.

Police say it appears some type of disturbance occurred outside which led to the shots being fired and the man being hit.

No suspects or arrests have been made at this time, but Fort Wayne officers are still investigating.
