Police investigating shots fired report at Fremont motel

FREMONT, Ind. WOWO: Police are investigating after a report of shots fired at a Fremont motel.

Our Partners in News at ABC 21 say a Fremont officer was called by another police agency to do a welfare check on someone at the Travelers Inn. When the officer arrived, someone inside the room allegedly shot at the officer.

The officer wasn’t hurt. The person then barricaded themselves in the motel.

State Road 120 is closed near the motel.
