Police raid Indiana restaurants amid investigation

INDIANAPOLIS (AP):  A prosecutor's spokeswoman says raids on El Rodeo restaurants in at least four Indiana cities are part of a multi-county investigation.

Indiana State Police on Monday raided two restaurants in Indianapolis, Lafayette, West Lafayette and Richmond.

Peg McLeish of the Marion County Prosecutor's Office says it is leading the investigation with Tippecanoe County, but had little else to say. She says state police are executing search warrants.

Local news reports say two Richmond locations were raided along with two in Lafayette, one in West Lafayette and at least one in Indianapolis

Attempts to reach two of the restaurants by telephone Monday afternoon were unsuccessful.
