CROWN POINT, Ind. (AP) _ Members of the public will be offered a sneak peek at a new museum depicting the life of famed gangster John Dillinger.

The new Dillinger Museum is being installed in the historic Lake County Courthouse. A hardhat tour is being offered Tuesday to give visitors a glimpse of the new museum.

The Post-Tribune reports (http://trib.in/1BPVOsm ) the sneak peek marks the 81st anniversary of Dillinger's March 3, 1934, escape from the nearby Lake County Jail.

The museum is being moved from the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond to the courthouse. The project is expected to cost about $260,000.

The museum is expected to be complete this summer. Organizers are planning a grand opening celebration to coincide with the 81st anniversary of Dillinger's death on July 22, 1934.
