Rain May Be Threat To Indianapolis 500

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WOWO) – Weather may play a major role in today’s Indianapolis 500 as rain continues to be a threat at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Officials say drying the track remains an option if showers move through, but severe weather could force delays or even postponement.

Rain has impacted race events throughout the month, and similar delays were caused during the 2024 race before conditions improved.

The green flag is currently scheduled to wave at 12:45 Sunday afternoon, with weather updates continuing throughout the weekend.
