PLYMOUTH, Ind. (WOWO) — Rokita sued the landlord for unsafe living conditions.

A court has ordered the apartment owners to pay over 300 thousand dollars in damages and penalties, with more than 200 thousand going to tenants as restitution.

The hazardous conditions, including leaky roofs, black mold, and unsafe electrical setups, led to the displacement of 20 residents in July.
