FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne Community Schools are telling parents they will not share anyone’s immigration status with authorities.

The letter sent to parents yesterday follows an executive order from President Trump that allows immigration officials to enter churches and schools to arrest people accused of being in the U.S. illegally.

FWCS officials say in the letter that they want to ensure “all students and families feel safe and welcome at school.”
