Rustic Hutch Closing after 40 Years

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): After 40 years in business, Bill and Diana Bodecker, will close their two Rustic Hutch store locations in Fort Wayne and retire.

Rustic Hutch, a leading retailer of furniture, home décor, furnishing and gifts in northeast Indiana, has been locally owned and operated since 1974.

Owner, Bill Bodercker said, “Diana and I are grateful to the wonderful customers and staff we have had the opportunity to serve over the last 40 years, and I hope they have enjoyed getting to know us as much as we have enjoyed getting to know them. Thanks to them, Rustic Hutch grew beyond what a newlywed farmer and teacher could have imagined.”

Rustic Hutch currently operates two locations in Fort Wayne. They're located at 4110 W. Jefferson Boulevard in the Jefferson Pointe Mall and at 10202 Coldwater Road in the Pine Valley Mall. The Boderckers will be liquidating their three million dollar inventory for a going-out-of-business sale, which will take place on Friday, August 15th at both store locations. The stores will be closed one week prior to prepare for the sale.
