Ryan Resigns from Ethics Commission

By Scott Sarvay

Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – A retired judge has resigned from the Allen County Ethics Commission.

Tom Ryan, an Allen County Commissioner’s appointee to the board, issued his letter of resignation Tuesday evening.

The former judge stormed out of Monday’s meeting saying he no longer wanted to be a part of an investigation into a conflict of interest claim against County Councilman Paul Moss.

Monday he called the proceedings a witch hunt.

The complaint was filed after Moss placed a call to Sheriff Ken Fries during a traffic stop in which officers allowed him to go home without submitting to a breathalyzer.

Earlier, the commission cleared the sheriff of any wrong doing.
