SCAN set to distribute 1,300 Easter baskets to kids in need

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): More than a thousand Fort Wayne kids will be getting an unexpected Easter basket.

A number of local groups donated more than 1,300 Easter baskets to Stop Child Abuse, known as “SCAN,” according to 21Alive.

The baskets, or “Spring baskets,” come packed with candy, toys, books and games. The baskets will be give to kids who otherwise wouldn’t get one Easter morning.

The majority of the baskets came from Fort Wayne’s various colleges.
