Search continues for Steuben County armed robber

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): Steuben County Police are searching for a man that robbed a gas station early Sunday morning.

The suspect held up the Shell Spee-D-Mart on CR 200 W just north of I-69 in Angola. According to a press release, the suspect showed the clerk he had a gun and demanded money.

Witnesses say he took off on foot going southbound on CR 200 W after taking an undisclosed amount of money. A K-9 was unsuccessful in finding his trail.

The armed robber is described as a white man standing between 5’6 and 5’9 tall with a slim build. He was seen wearing a ski mask, a black zip-up sweatshirt, dark colored pants and light colored gloves. A photo of the suspect has not been made available.

Tips that lead to the arrest of a suspects and recovery of property can be rewarded up to $1,000.
