Semi Truck Driver Changes Plea to Guilty

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The semi truck driver, who was taken into custody for allegedly causing a fatal crash on US 30, has changed his plea to guilty.

U.S. Marshals arrested 51-year-old Scott Saunders in Greenville, South Carolina back in January, on 16 counts including reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and criminal recklessness.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, Saunders of Wisconsin, pleaded guilty to eight of those charges Wednesday afternoon in court.

The charges stem from the crash that happened back in January 2013. Saunders was driving a semi-truck when he hit several vehicles that were stopped at the intersection of State Road 930 east and Doyle Road.

Two women died in the crash and several others were injured.
