Senator Donnelly Co-Authors Legislation to Help Prevent Delays for Energy Projects

INDIANA,(WOWO): Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly has co-authored legislation that would help prevent lengthy delays to important energy infrastructure projects like the Keystone XL pipeline.

It's been the source of frustration with lawmakers in favor of the project and the the thousands of jobs it would create. Donnelly says, if passed, the legislation would streamline the process for approval of energy infrastructure projects, so that they are not subject to endless, unnecessary delays. He says the process needs to be fact-based and transparent, and look out for the interests of the American people now and into the future, and says the bill achieves that goal.

The House passed similar legislation this past summer.
