FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two suspects in a fatal shooting on Eby Avenue appeared in court Wednesday for formal charges.

Twenty-four-year old Charles Benson will stand trial for murder and possession of a firearm, 25-year old Marcus Lindsey is held for assisting a criminal, that's according to our partners in news at 21Alive

According to court documents, attorneys for Benson are pushing for a speedy trial.

Late in the evening, Sept 8, 26-year old John Holman was fatally wounded in a barrage of gunfire.  

Benson is expected to appear back in court next week. Lindsey is scheduled for a October 1 hearing.
