FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Serco, a Britain-based global service company working with governments and businesses, will be hiring in Fort Wayne.

During a big hiring event, April 20th, the company will be seeking 25 customer service representatives. The event will be from 11:00 a.m., to noon for WorkOne customers only and noon to 4:00 p.m., for the general public at the WorkOne Northeast career center, located at 201 E. Rudisill Boulevard.

The jobs are work-at-home positions, paying between $9.75 and $11.25 an hour. The required skills include good communication, the ability to navigate a computerized data entry system, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

In March 2014, Serco announced that with Fort Wayne as a new location for the company, it planned over time to add several hundred jobs in the Summit City. Since March 2014, Serco has hired 40 people; the latest hirings will bring the total to 65.
