LAGRANGE, Ind. (WOWO): A 36-year-old Shipshewana man was arrested Thursday night after police say he beat a woman in front of a 1-year-old.

Gregory E. Creek was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery in the presence of a child, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Police were called to the 3300 block of N. 920 W. in Shipshewana at about 9 p.m. Thursday June 2. When officers arrived, they determined Creek had physically beat a woman in front of a child.

Creek was booked into the LaGrange County Jail.
