FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne woman is facing up to six years in prison after pleading guilty to neglecting her infant son.

34-year-old Jennifer Born pleaded guilty to two counts of neglect of a dependent Thursday, according to the News-Sentinel.

She and Victor Rivera, a man she used to live with, were accused of neglect after police responded to a domestic disturbance call last October. Police found the boy in bad shape. He was suffering from a skull fracture, hemorrhages in both eyes and fractures of his left leg.

The boy had suffered traumatic brain injuries after Rivera shook and dropped the infant after it vomited on him. Investigators say Born had also once picked the boy up by the leg and swung him around.

She’ll testify at Rivera’s trial later this month.
