Smithsonian Animal Exhibition at Purdue this Week

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): A traveling Smithsonian Institution exhibition marking the 150th anniversary of the American Veterinary Medical Association makes a stop at Purdue University this week.

Purdue says the display entitled “Animal Connections: Our Journey Together,'' is housed in an expandable 18-wheel truck and introduces visitors to the complex bond between humans and animals.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. It will be parked on the south side of Memorial Mall, adjacent to State Street between Stewart Center and Stone Hall. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The exhibition focuses on animals in the home, on the farm, at the zoo, in the wild and at the veterinary clinic.
