Stabbing at Freimann Square, Suspect Arrested

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Fort Wayne police arrest 58-year-old Bernard Ford, of Fort Wayne, in connection to a stabbing that happened this afternoon near Freimann Square.


According to police, around 1:00 p.m., officers were called to the area of Main Street and Clinton Street. Once on the scene, they found a man in fair condition and he was taken to the hospital.


Moments later, police received a description of the suspect and they found him near the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge. He was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.


Ford is being charged with Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
