State Rep. Moves to Ban ‘Palcohol’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): State Representative Phil GiaQuinta is sponsoring legislation to ban the sale and manufacture of powdered alcohol in Indiana. The bill would prevent the purchase of powdered alcohol, otherwise known as “Palcohol”. One ounce of the product can be mixed into any liquid to create a drink that's similar to the alcoholic content of a shot of liquor. GiaQuinta says the product could be concealed at school functions, sporting events or other places where alcohol is prohibited.
