Stutzman Statement on Veterans Day

Washington, D.C. (WOWO): This afternoon U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:

“On Memorial Day, we pause to remember the Americans who gave ‘the last full measure of devotion’ for our freedoms.  On Veterans Day, we honor and celebrate those who returned safely. Our national strength has never rested in economic might or overpowering force but in individual courage and commitment. America ended slavery, freed Europe, defeated communism, and fights terrorism today because courageous men and women answered freedom’s call. We owe our veterans a lasting debt of gratitude and ask for God’s protection for those serving in harm’s way.”
