Syracuse Man Charged with Theft and Producing Meth

SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): Officers found what is believed to be an illegal synthetic drug, along with items commonly used to produce meth in a Syracuse home.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home off the 9400 block of State Rd. 13 in Syracuse around 6 p.m. There, they found items used to produce meth and other drugs.

40-year-old Jason Paul Halsey was arrested. Police were searching the home in regards to a previous investigation into recent thefts at the Syracuse Ace Hardware. In the home, police located a power drill that was stolen from the store.

Halsey is charged with theft, along with possession of synthetic drugs used to produce meth. He's being held on a $2,000 bond.
