Three Charged in January Death of Gary Man Found Dumped in Woods

GARY, Ind. (AP) _ Three people have been charged in the January beating death of a Gary man whose body was dumped in a wooded area.

Twenty-nine-year-old Stephanie M. Serrano and 32-year-old James Willingham both face charges of murder and assisting a criminal, while 20-year-old Cheyanne Evans is charged with assisting a criminal. She's in custody in Orlando, Florida, awaiting extradition to Indiana.

The Post-Tribune of Merrillville reports the three Gary residents are charged in the death of 31-year-old Nathan Marshall.

Court documents say the trio fought with Marshall in January after the physically disabled man apparently touched Serrano inappropriately as the four were drinking at his home.

Marshal died after being left injured in his home for days. His body was later found wrapped in a rug in a wooded area.
