TinCaps Earn Community Service Award

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne TinCaps are being honored for their community service.

The TinCaps have won baseball's John Henry Moss Community Service Award. 

One minor league baseball club wins the award every year for its commitment to charitable service and for its support and leadership with in both the community and baseball industry. The team was recognized for its TinCaps Reading program that reaches about 117,000 children in three states. 

The TinCaps will be honored with the award at baseball's winter meetings banquet on December 6th in Nashville.
