FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Kendallville family won a grand prize of $4,000 in hospitality, season tickets, merchandise, and more as the Fort Wayne TinCaps celebrated their 4-millionth fan Thursday night at Parkview Field.

Amy Johnson of Kendallville won the team’s contest to be chosen at random as the milestone-reaching fan, with every fan holding a valid TinCaps ticket eligible to win. Last night’s drawing combined ticket sales for both Wednesday and Thursday night’s games, as the Wednesday night contest had been rained out.

The team also gave away $400 gift cards to 10 fans, and $100 gift cards to 20 fans for a total of $10,000 in giveaways to celebrate Parkview Field’s 10th season.

The Dayton Dragons at Fifth Third Field are the only Single-A team in Minor League Baseball ever to reach 4,000,000 fans faster than the TinCaps and Parkview Field.

The TinCaps have just four home games left for the regular season: tonight and a homestand from August 29th thru 31st.
