Toledo Police Identify Suspects in Old West End Festival Shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio (WOWO): Toledo police have released new details in their investigation of the shooting at the Old West End Festival that left 12 people injured.

According to Toledo police, investigators believe the violence involved two rival groups and have identified two suspects described as Black men between the ages of 18 and 24.

Police said most of the people wounded in the shooting were bystanders who were not involved in the dispute.

Authorities have not released the names of the suspects and have not announced any arrests in the case.

Investigators continue to review evidence, interview witnesses and follow leads as they work to determine the circumstances that led to the gunfire.

The shooting occurred during the annual Old West End Festival, one of Toledo’s largest community events. All 12 victims survived their injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact investigators as the case remains active.
