Two Area Schools Earn Blue Ribbon School Honors

BERNE, Ind./SHERWOOD, Ohio. (WOWO): Two area schools have considered among the best in the country, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

It was announced earlier this week that South Adams High School in Berne, Indiana was named a National Blue Ribbon school. Now we're learning that Fairview Middle School in Sherwood, Ohio has also earned the 2015 National Blue Ribbon School award. 

The program recognizes elementary, middle, and high schools that have worked towards closing the achievement gap or have students that perform at very high levels. 

The two schools were honored along with 333 others around the country. They will be honored at a recognition ceremony in Washington D.C. on November 9th and 10th.
