FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An ongoing investigation to stop the recent outbreak of heroin in Fort Wayne has lead to an arrest.
The Fort Wayne Vice and Narcotics Unit, along with the Gang and Violent Crime Unit, have made another bust after searching a complex west of downtown at 1114 W. Jefferson, Apartment 4, about 4 blocks east of Swinney Park. Around 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, police served the search warrant and found heroin and other paraphernalia.
Four adults were taken into custody, but only two were charged. Charges for 27 year old Christopher “Ace” Finley include 2 counts of dealing cocaine or narcotic drug and also 1 count of maintaining a common nuisance. Also charged was 24 year old Demetrius Hern on 4 counts of dealing cocaine or narcotic drug, 1 count of maintaining a common nuisance, and 1 count of possession of marijuana.
Both Finley and Hern are listed to be from Detroit.
The sale and distribution of heroin has been plaguing the City of Fort Wayne. This bust comes just a week after Rasheed Martin was charged for allegedly dealing Heroin and Fentanyl, along with multiple people whose deaths have been linked to heroin overdoses over the last few months.
